How long have you been in business? 

You want a roofing company that can get the job done right the first time. Working with a startup company can be risky. The more years in business, the better. If they’ve been around for over a decade, you can rest assured knowing they have had enough experience working on roofs, and roofs in your environment. 

Are you licensed? 

Never hire a roofing company that isn’t licensed. There’s a lot of fly by night roofing companies offering amazing prices to repair or replace your roof. The problem is when something goes wrong you’re left with an even larger bill than you would have had going with a licensed contractor. A license means the contractor is legally liable for following codes and regulations. If you hire an unlicensed company, you take on the liability which can be costly. 

Do they have insurance?

Check to see what former customers have to say. If the company has a lot of bad reviews and low ratings, then you probably want to avoid them. If they have a 4-star rating or above, then they’re likely a good roofing company.

D&L Roofing is a family owned and operated Las Vegas roofing company. We’ve been serving Nevada homeowners and business owners since 2010. Founder, David Schweigart, started roofing with his dad when he was ten years old. His dad took on an owner build home addition and gave young David a nail pouch and handed him nails as he pounded shingles onto their home. Through his teen years, David helped roof family and friend’s homes. He hasn’t stopped since. David brings 25 years of roofing experience to D&L Roofing. He worked in all areas of the industry from selling roofing products to working as an estimator for commercial roofers. After years in the industry, he started D&L Roofing with his wife Lisa, in 2010. Lisa and David are parents to two wonderful daughters. Lisa Schweigart’s background in banking helps her manage the D&L Roofing office. Lisa is a Nevada native, born and raised in Las Vegas. She began her banking career in 1998 as a teller and quickly moved up to lead supervisor. From there she went to the home mortgage side of banking where she processed home loans. Lisa took a break from banking to raise her and David’s two beautiful (and smart!) girls.
