Types of Commercial Roofing Systems
We can replace, repair, or build a variety of different type of commercial roofing systems. Each system comes with unique benefits that may be best for your building. Once we talk with you and do an inspection, we’ll walk you through your options.
Spray Polyurethane Foam Roofing – SPF is an eco-friendly roofing option for commercial, industrial and manufacturing facilities. SPF is a liquid material that is sprayed on top of an existing roof in liquid form, and it expands to foam creating a solid layer. It provides the highest R-value per inch making it the most energy efficient option.
Single-Ply Membrane Systems
A time-tested option for commercial, industrial & manufacturing facilities. Single-Ply membranes are sheets of rubber and other synthetics that can be ballasted, mechanically fastened or chemically adhered to insulation creating a layer of watertight protection. TPO single-ply membranes are white and highly reflective helping reduce cooling costs for your building.
Metal Roof Systems
One of the oldest and most trusted systems, metal roofing systems typically consist of galvanized steel. Since it’s a lighter weight material, a metal roof can often be installed on top of an existing roof. A coating is then added for waterproofing, rust protection, and UV protection. The fire resistance factor is attractive for many industrial manufacturers.
Tile & Shingle Roof Systems
Mostly known for residential roofing applications, shingles are very often used for steep slope commercial roofing applications as well. Shingles can be made from wood, slate, metal, plastic and ceramic. They come in nearly any color imaginable, can be hail rated, are cost-effective and easy to repair.
Built-Up Roof Systems
Commercial and industrial buildings have been constructed with built-up roofing systems for over 100 years. They are sometimes referred to as “tar and gravel” roofs. They’re installed by alternating layers of asphalt or tar and supporting fabrics directly onto the roof. They are waterproof, provide UV protection, and require minimal maintenance.
